Fall Certificate Program is FULL Workshop Calendar
We have had an overwhelming response and the Fall Certificate Program is currently full to capacity. However, if you are interested in the certificate program or individual workshops, we encourage you to send us your information and what you are interested in. We will add you to a waiting list and let you know if spots open up or if we are able to add alternate dates for the workshops. Additionally you can expect another opportunity to take this workshop in the Spring.

City Roots is pleased to offer this entry-level certificate in small scale urban farming. The program is meant to give participants a basic understanding of farming techniques including organic farming methods, micro-green production, direct marketing techniques, composting with and without worms, and more. The program is offered to anyone interested. To receive the certificate, participants must attend the 8 certificate workshops and volunteer 40 hours at the farm between now and December. Volunteer time is crucial for mastering the techniques described in the workshops. For those participants who are unable to provide the full 40 hours, they may choose to attend the workshop series for $150 and 16 hours of volunteer time. These workshops are also available to take as individual workshops in exchange for 4 hours of volunteer time per workshop (or for $25/workshop without volunteer time). For more information, please contact Jason Craig (craigjd@mailbox.sc.edu) or Eric McClam (eric@cityroots.org). To Register, please include the following information in an email to Eric or Jason.
